60 Day Replacement Guarantee
At Key Co Landscapes, we stand behind the quality of our hedge stock and our installation work.
That is why all eligible hedge installations include our 60 Day Replacement Guarantee, giving you added peace of mind during the most important establishment period.
We install advanced hedge plants to create an instant privacy result, but like all living plants, success depends heavily on correct aftercare, especially watering in the first few weeks.
Our guarantee is designed to be fair, clear, and easy to understand.
What Our Guarantee Covers
If a plant fails within 60 days of installation due to:
• transplant failure
• plant health issues present at supply
• installation-related issues
• severe decline despite correct aftercare
we will assess the plant and, where approved, replace it.
This guarantee applies to plants supplied and installed by Key Co Landscapes as part of our standard hedge installation packages.
Standard Installation Requirement
Our guarantee applies only to hedges installed under our standardised installation packages and methods.
These packages include the planting methods and soil amendments we have tested to give hedges the best chance of successful establishment.
If installation specifications are altered at the request of the customer — including changes to planting methods, spacing, soil amendments, or other components of the installation package — the replacement guarantee may be void.
This ensures the plants are installed using the methods we know work best.
What You Must Do To Keep The Guarantee Valid
To remain eligible for replacement under this guarantee, the following conditions must be followed.
1. Water correctly after installation
Newly installed hedges require consistent watering while they establish.
As a general guide:
• Days 1–14: water daily
• Weeks 3–6: water every 2–3 days
• Continue adjusting based on rainfall, temperature, soil type, and drainage
In hot, dry, or windy weather, more frequent watering may be required.
2. Monitor soil moisture
The root zone must stay consistently moist during establishment, but not constantly waterlogged.
3. Contact us within the 60-day period
Any concerns must be reported within 60 days of installation.
4. Provide photos when requested
To assess any issue properly, we may request clear photos of:
• the full hedge line
• affected plants
• foliage condition
• soil condition around the base
Assessment & Instruction Period
If you report a plant concern within the 60-day guarantee period, we may assess the issue and provide care instructions (such as adjusting watering or allowing time for transplant stress recovery).
If you follow the instructions provided by us, and the plant later declines or dies as a result of the original issue — even if this occurs after the 60-day period — the plant may still be eligible for replacement.
This ensures customers are not disadvantaged for following our advice during the guarantee period.
What Is Not Covered
Our 60 Day Replacement Guarantee does not cover plant loss or decline caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to:
• lack of watering
• inconsistent watering
• overwatering or waterlogged soil
• extreme heat, frost, storms, flooding, or other severe weather events
• poor drainage or site conditions outside our control
• pest or disease issues occurring after installation
• damage caused by pets, wildlife, machinery, lawn equipment, or foot traffic
• chemical damage, including herbicides or other sprays
• plants that have been moved, removed, disturbed, or replanted after installation
• heavy pruning or unauthorised alteration after installation
How We Assess Plant Issues
We assess plant health based on objective signs such as:
• foliage condition
• soil moisture
• root zone condition
• planting environment
• overall pattern across the hedge line
For example, dry and crispy foliage, dry root zones, and soil pulling away from the root ball are common signs of insufficient watering. Soft yellowing foliage, blackened roots, sour-smelling soil, and prolonged saturation are common signs of overwatering or drainage-related decline.
Minor leaf drop, slight browning, or mild transplant stress can be normal during establishment and do not necessarily indicate plant failure.
Important Note About Plant Establishment
Some transplant stress is normal when advanced hedging is installed.
This can include:
• minor leaf drop
• slight browning on some foliage
• a small amount of branch dieback
• temporary stress while roots establish
These signs alone do not mean the plant is dead or failing. In many cases, plants recover well with correct watering and time.
How To Make A Claim
If you believe a plant is failing, please contact us as soon as possible within the 60-day period.
Please include:
• your name
• installation address
• approximate install date
• clear photos of the affected plants
Once received, we will review the issue and advise the next steps.

We use quality advanced stock, proven installation methods, and clear aftercare guidance to give your hedge the best chance of success.
